An organic catnip plant is generally very easy to grow and they are easily available from various garden stores, pet stores, etc. It is available both in the form of catnip seeds and small catnip plants. A catnip plant or catnip herb best grows during the spring season with a maximum height of three to four inches. One of the essential requirements of growing catnip plant is that the soil in which the plant is to be grown must be fertile. The catnip flowers prosper in sunlight or in just a fraction amount of shade. Sometimes a slight amount of fertilizers are added in the catnip plant. A catnip plant must be grown a little far away from the other plants in the field or garden. This is because a catnip plant is an aggressive grower as it needs a plenty of space to grow and can cover the other plants as well. When the catnip plant begins to grow then its shoots must be chopped up in smaller inches so that they can flourish more efficiently. When the catnip plant begins to bloom then its flowers are cut down and are used for preparing various catnip products for the cats as well as human beings. The catnip leaves are used to make catnip tea that provides a great deal of relief to the human beings from various diseases and problems.
