There are a variety of catnips from which the cat owners can choose the most convenient one for their cats. Some of the popularly known catnips are:
· Fresh Catnip: This type of catnip is generally grown during the month of summer. A very little effort is required in order to grow the fresh catnips. It is very much convenient to grow the fresh catnips as it may be grown in the indoor gardens also.
· Dry Catnip: The catnips are also available in the dry form also. However, a very important point must be kept in mind while harvesting dry catnip is that they must be stored or kept in a place with proper care so that they may not loose there scent, which is very much effective in attracting the cats.
· Catnip Tea: A catnip tea is generally used by the human beings as a remedy for fevers, headache, etc. However, it is very much required that the proper dosage of catnips must be taken in order to avoid any ill effects.
