What is a CATNIP?

A catnip is usually a name that is given to the particular type of herb known as Nepata Cateria. Nepata cateria is type of herb of small white purple-spotted flowers that attracts the cats. A catnip is also known by the various names such as cataria, catamint, catanep, catrup, cats's-play, field balm, garden nep, nebada and so on. It is mostly cultivated and harvested largely in the various parts of North America. It is largely used to control some of the common found behaviors or the problems created by the cats.

There are many people in the world who are fond of cats. The cat brings joy to the lives of a large number of people. She provides constant entertainment as she laps on your shoulders, touches your cheeks with her tongue and so on. The owner of the cats must devote an adequate time on the safety and care of the cats.

However, with the certain passage of time, your beloved cat makes you to scratch your head or may drive you crazy with her unusual behavior. It may completely scratch or damage one of your most favorite chairs or she may sometimes bite you also. It may take a lot of commitment from your part in solving these cat problems. Nowadays, many new tools are available, which helps in controlling the aggressive behavior of the cats to a great extent and one such tool is known as cat toy.
