Cat Urinary Tract Infection

One of the most common problems among the domesticated cats is the urinary tract infection (UTI). Feline Urologic Syndrome (FUS) is an over-all term used to describe lower urinary tract disorders, including kidney and bladder stones, urinary blockage, and cystitis. One of the common term that applies to assortment of ailments affecting a cat's lower urinary tract such as cystitis, infection of the urinary tract is known as FLUTD. This infection is more common in those cats that have an improper diet with a low resistance, although it can happen even if these aren't factors for your beloved pet. Urinary tract infections are painful and can be a danger to your pet’s life, so don't treat it lightly.

A cat experiencing a urethral obstruction behaves similarly to any other cat with lower urinary tract disease such as straining to urinate, frequently attempting to urinate, and producing little amount of urine. You must immediately take your beloved cat to your vet if the severity of the disease is quite painful and does not heal immediately.
