Types of Cat Litter

A cat litter is basically a material that is used in litter boxes in order to absorb urine and moisture of the cats. Nowadays, cat litter is an absolute necessity for the cat owners as much as cats. For today's cat owners, cat litter is as much a necessity as cat food. The following are many types of cat litters from which the cat owners can choose for their beloved cats:

Sand or Dirt Cat Litter: This type of cat litter is generally very cheap, easy and quickly available. However, one of the disadvantage this litter has that it does not absorbs the water very easily.

Basic Cat Litter: This type of cat litters are inexpensive and are also less likely to be tracked through the house. But it requires lots of cleaning.

Clumping Litter: This type of cat litter is very easy to clean and contains less oder. However, one if the disadvantage of clumping litter is that the cats can track it through the house easier and maybe harmful for the cats if ingested.

Wheat Litter: This type of cat litter is environmentally sound and safer if ingested. One the disadvantage of wheat litter is that it tends to be expensive and dusty most of the times.
